Tropical Rainforest Climate
The climate of a tropical rainforest is hot, lush and tropical and there is no dry seasons.
All months have large amounts of precipitation, at least 60 mm (2.36 inches). Tropical rainforest climates have no definite summer or winter; it is usually hot and wet throughout the year and rainfall is both heavy and frequent.
One day's climate can be very similar to the next, whereas the change in temperature between day and night can be greater than the average change in temperature between "summer" and "winter".
Tropical climates are most commonly found in Southeast Asia, Central Africa and South America. Some of the places that have this climate are boringly wet throughout the year (e.g. the northwest Pacific Coast of South and Central America, from Ecuador to Costa Rica).
In addition, tropical rainforest climates are usually located near the equator. There are a number of times when the climate is found some distance away from the equator, such as Santos, Brazil, and Fort Lauderdale, USA. They are not only far from the equator, but are actually located just outside the tropics. However both of these cities have a tropical rainforest climate, with outstandingly cooler and warmer periods of the year.
